Hi, my name is Ruben.This is about my interest in the country and culture of China. China is a facinating country. Here in America, we see only a glimpse of what the chinese culture is. My interest started when I went to the Dragon Boat Festival in Denver CO. It was an asian festival, but the theme was an ancient chinese tradition of racing the boats shaped like dragons. The festival got me to study the history of the country and the language. Most of all, I love the art of caligraphy. Its beauty gives it a meaning and the meaning give it a story.I hope one day to be able to be fluent in chinese by speaking, reading and wtiring it.I also hope to visit this country one day and maybe even study there.
